Bonded | Glued-in Retainers
Bonded retainers, often known as "permanent retainers," stay glued to the backside of your front teeth to prevent spacing, crowding, or rotations. The name "permanent retainers" can be misleading since the glue can wear down over time due to eating, friction, and daily use.
They may require some maintenance, like repairing the glue, rebonding portions, or even replacement, but with proper care, these wires are durable and designed to last for years.
At Fargo Orthodontics, we create removable retainers by taking a digital scan or impression of your teeth, which allows us to 3D print a model on which we can create your retainer.
